Virtual Reality and Sustainability: The Presentation


Virtual Reality is ultimately going to be big, despite a slower-than-expected start in 2016. One thing that is certain about VR – it consumes more energy and online resources than the standard web. As such, it is important to ensure that Sustainable Virtual Design Practices are incorporated into VR projects.

Today is the day for Sustainable Ux

My talk on Sustainable Ux in VR will be available during the afternoon (for West Coast users) session. Ux in VR is important because experience designers will be the ones who initiate sustainable practices in VR (as opposed to “the pleasures of uninhibited excess” game community). The presentation describes features of VR relevant to experience design, then suggests strategies that Ux VR designers can use to incorporate sustainable practices and content into their projects.
